January 2026 Expedition: sold out.
1–5 February 2027: now open for registration.

Leadership Expedition Norway · Exclusively for women

Your body already knows what your mind is still trying to understand.

Norway. In the snow. Five days, four nights, twelve women.

Through cold exposure, breathwork, silence and real food, your nervous system learns what no conventional training can teach you: how to remain calm, clear and present when pressure rises. You work directly through the body because your body is honest and already knows what your mind is still trying to understand.

You return home with a nervous system that supports you. And a network for life.

Does this sound familiar?

R

You lead with focus and precision, yet you sense there is another layer within you that you are not fully accessing.

R

You are fiercely independent and solve everything yourself. You long for a place where, for once, you do not have to carry anything.

R

You are always surrounded by people, yet you are looking for the place where you can truly take off the mask.

R

Your calendar is tightly scheduled. You long for something raw, unfiltered and real.

R

You live in your head. You want to reconnect with your body as a grounded source of strength.

R

You make decisions based on reason and experience. You want your intuition beside them again as an equally valuable decision-making instrument.

R

You do not just want to learn scientifically grounded skills, you want to embody them, so they become part of how you lead, decide and respond under pressure.

R

You want an unforgettable experience because, in the end, it is the moments that stay with you that truly matter.

Discover the lodge

The location — and why it matters so much

An authentic Norwegian mountain lodge, three hours from Oslo. Panoramic views, profound silence and air that clears your mind. Outside: space, a lake to plunge into and nature that does not adjust itself to your stories but holds you. Inside: warmth, wood and fire.

The food is nourishment in the truest sense: high-quality, pure, local and free from unnecessary additives. Your body finally receives what it has been asking for — and that is precisely what allows change to happen more quickly.

The short days and long evenings of the Norwegian winter do the rest: the environment naturally draws you inward.

  • Three hours’ drive from Oslo
  • Saunas and guided heat-training sessions
  • Spaces to retreat — and spaces to reconnect

The body already knows what the mind is still trying to understand. The only question that remains is: will you join us?

A magical gift to myself — a pause from everything, and at the same time a profound homecoming. I learned to trust my body again, and to realise that it is capable of far more than my mind sometimes wants me to believe

Esther

Whatever happens, you will return a richer person.

Acacia

I am capable of far more than I thought. It has given me the feeling that I can take on the world.

Roos

Rowena is radically honest, and she brings that honesty with tremendous warmth and compassion. She says exactly what needs to be said  in a way that helps you step back into your strength.

Sas

By letting go, I feel so much more at ease in my body. There are fewer blockages, my energy is flowing again, and I have started singing — something I had not done for a very long time.

Nelske

What is included?

Deep somatic bodywork — allowing your system to release tension it may have been holding for years.

Yoga twice a day — guided by an expert with eighteen years of experience and tailored to high-performing bodies that have spent years switched “on”.

Somatic regulation — breathwork and practical methods for releasing stress from the body.

Heat training and sauna — resetting your nervous system and learning to regulate yourself under pressure.

Nature as a mirror — hiking, cold-water immersion and raw natural elements that cannot be replicated in the city.

True restoration — local, unprocessed food and 0% alcohol. Your body remembers what real nourishment feels like.

A raw yet luxurious experience at Huso Lodge — where the boundary between indoors and outdoors begins to disappear.

Five days and four nights of accommodation — including a freshly made bed, bath towels and sauna towels.

Why it works — the science in brief

Breath — Slow, controlled breathing activates the vagus nerve, the braking system of your nervous system, as described in Porges’ Polyvagal Theory. It can be measured through changes in heart-rate variability and felt within minutes.

Cold — Cold-water immersion can increase norepinephrine levels by up to approximately 300% (Šrámek et al., 2000), supporting alertness and focus through your own physiology.

Heat — Regular sauna use is associated with improved cardiovascular health and a lower physiological stress load (Laukkanen, University of Eastern Finland).

The body — Your body registers signals before your conscious mind can put them into words (Damasio, somatic markers). When you learn to read those signals, you make decisions using more information.

Tension — Unprocessed stress can remain present as physical tension. Body-oriented work can help the system release and process that activation (Van der Kolk).

In other words: resilience under pressure is not a personality trait. It is trainable physiology.

The trainers

  • Rowena Wijnands:

Twenty-two years in the operating theatre. Not as a metaphor for pressure, but as a literal reality. Lives depended on pattern recognition, presence and decisions made within seconds. On a nervous system that could not afford to collapse. That experience made her an expert in one specific field: what truly happens to people under extreme pressure, physiologically, behaviourally and relationally.

As an author, keynote speaker and Kundalini-trained coach, she guides leaders back to their foundation. Her book The Art of Intimacy is an exploration of the deepest layer of human functioning.

  • Sonja van Meerbeek

For two decades, the boardroom was her natural habitat. Director, executive and supervisory board member. She spoke the language of reason, control and performance and mastered it like few others. Until her body pulled the emergency brake and she ended up in intensive care. What followed was not a crisis, but a revelation: the system she used to lead was also the system that was exhausting her.

Today, she holds the same senior roles but now leads through intuition and embodiment as well. In her keynote Use Your Senses, she shows corporate leaders that their senses are among their most powerful decision-making instruments. Not as a metaphor, but as a physiological fact. Sonja is also a Kundalini-trained coach.

Heat Training — Why it’s such a game changer

Heat training is self-leadership through the body.

You are not training yourself to tolerate heat. You are training yourself to remain calm while your body urges you to react: meeting resistance, breathing consciously and regulating yourself under pressure. This is hormesis  a controlled dose of stress that makes your system stronger and more resilient. Staying calm in discomfort is a core leadership skill. And it can be trained.

FAQ

Is it emotionally intense?

Yes, it can touch you deeply. And that is often exactly where the real shift begins. Not by pushing harder, but by feeling more honestly and choosing with greater clarity. You will be guided by highly experienced trainers who know how to combine precision, compassion and safety.

I have no previous yoga experience. Is that a problem?

No. You do not need any previous yoga experience. You will learn how to use it in a simple, realistic way in your daily life, even with a full schedule.

Is it physically manageable?

We build everything up gradually, and you decide where your limits are. Heat training, for example, is not a test but an experience. The bodywork is not something you have to do, but a gift you give yourself. Participation is not about performing, it is about being fully present in your own body.

How do I get to the lodge?
